Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Falls to Rock County Christian in First Game of Season

Grace Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 73-25 loss at the hands of the Rock County Christian Eagles. The loss continues a trend for Grace Christian Academy in their matchups with Rock County Christian: they've now lost nine in a row.

Rock County Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tony Thompson led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Gideon Ukwuorji, who went 11 of 17 en route to 24 points and eight rebounds.

Rock County Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
