Baseball Recap: Patrick Henry's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Patrick Henry extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 16-8-2 in the process. They never let the Scripps Ranch Falcons get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The Patriots' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three games.

Cody Cappelletti was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Alex Mestman was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ian Brooke, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

As for Scripps Ranch, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured eight losses in a row.

On Scripps Ranch's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kai Kinsley, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Patrick Henry beat the Falcons by a score of 11-1 on Tuesday.
