Basketball Recap: Bryan Che's Big Game Can't Quite Lead New Hope Academy Regional over Calvert Hall

New Hope Academy Regional's last matchup with Calvert Hall could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Tigers came up short against the Cardinals, falling 74-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since December 20, 2024.

New Hope Academy Regional's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryan Che, who shot 71% from the field on his way to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Legend Wylie, who posted nine points and seven boards.

New Hope Academy Regional now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Calvert Hall, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
