Basketball Recap: Aurora West College Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Aurora West College Prep Academy played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 75-36 loss at the hands of the Twin Peaks Classical Academy Timberwolves. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-20.

Matthew Wurth continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Twin Peaks Classical Academy, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance also gave Wurth a new career-high in assists (six). Another player making a difference was Conrad Stahly, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 10 points and seven rebounds.

Aurora West College Prep Academy dropped their record down to 3-17 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Twin Peaks Classical Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aurora West College Prep Academy will host Arvada at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Twin Peaks Classical Academy, they will welcome Two Roads Charter School on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
