Volleyball Recap: Carl Junction Bulldogs vs. Carthage Tigers
Carl Junction had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Carthage Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
Carl Junction took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 13-25, 21-25, 25-8, 16-14.
Despite the defeat, Carl Junction saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Grace Carrier had 24 digs and two assists.
Carthage's win bumped their record up to 3-1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carl Junction will challenge Nevada on Saturday. As for Carthage, they will square off against Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
