Softball Recap: Wakulla's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

It was a good run, but Wakulla unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. Neither they nor the Gulf Shores Dolphins could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 tie.

Charley Butler spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances.

With that tie, Wakulla's record moves to 14-3-1. As for Gulf Shores, they moved theirs to 23-13-2.

Wakulla didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-2 win against Thomasville on the 18th. As for Gulf Shores, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 9-5 victory against Chattanooga Christian on the 18th.
