Volleyball Recap: Katie Clark and Chloe Sexton Secure Win for Cookeville

While Cookeville's win against Lebanon wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cavaliers had just enough and edged out the Blue Devils 3-2 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won seven in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Cookeville who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-17, 16-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-12.

Leading Cookeville to victory were Chloe Sexton and Katie Clark. Sexton had 20 digs and five assists, while Clark had 15 digs. Those 15 digs gave Clark a new career-high.

Cookeville's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Lebanon, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5.

Cookeville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Nolensville on the 19th. As for Lebanon, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Siegel on the 19th.
