Baseball Recap: Goldthwaite Comes Up Short

Goldthwaite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bangs Dragons. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly five runs.

Hagen Greenway made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Goldthwaite's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bangs, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Goldthwaite has already played their next match, a 9-7 loss against Bangs on the 22nd. As for Bangs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-7 victory against Comanche on the 22nd.
