Basketball Game Recap: Cedar Bluff Tigers vs. Jacksonville Christian Academy Thunder

Jacksonville Christian Academy came into Monday's contest looking for another win against Cedar Bluff, but Shon Gleen wouldn't allow it. The Cedar Bluff Tigers strolled past the Jacksonville Christian Academy Thunder with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 71-57 thanks in part to Gleen, who went 14 of 27 on his way to 31 points and eight rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 17.2 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Jones, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 14 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played.

Jacksonville Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jesse Gannaway, who posted 17 points and eight rebounds. Noah Lee was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Cedar Bluff picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Cedar Bluff wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-58 victory against Wellborn on the 3rd. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 92-41 loss against Spring Garden on the 6th.
