Softball Recap: MacArthur Takes a Loss

The matchup between MacArthur and South San Antonio on Wednesday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Brahmas lost 17-2 to the Bobcats. The Brahmas haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

MacArthur saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Silva, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI. That double was Silva's first of the season.

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for South San Antonio, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

Coming up, MacArthur will welcome Antonian Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Apaches will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for South San Antonio, they will take on Harlandale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.81 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
