The La Canada Spartans will face off against the San Marino Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Monday, La Canada was able to grind out a solid win over South Pasadena, taking the game 11-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Cash Carroll and Ross Piken were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Carroll tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Piken tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Carroll a new career-high in strikeouts (four). At the plate, Carroll scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Piken scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Will Park was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-5. He has become a key player for La Canada: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-6 otherwise. Taylor Parrille was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.
Meanwhile, everything went San Marino's way against Cerritos on Monday as San Marino made off with an 8-1 victory. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.
Like La Canada, San Marino also got a great game from a two-way player: JJ Wilson. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Wilson has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Jamie Bercaw and Miles Morning did most of the damage at the plate: Bercaw scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Morning scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that Morning snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Aldo Cali, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
San Marino was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cerritos only posted a batting average of .208.
La Canada's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for San Marino, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
