Baseball Recap: Madison Comprehensive Comes Up Short

Madison Comprehensive was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ashland Arrows. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rams have suffered against the Arrows since March 28, 2018.

Madison Comprehensive saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Madison Comprehensive's loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Ashland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison Comprehensive will head out to take on Shelby at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Ashland, they will face off against Norwalk at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
