Football Recap: Cathedral Starts off Right with Win over Loyola + How To Watch

Cathedral had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Loyola Cubs with a sharp 36-14 victory on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Phantoms have posted against the Cubs since September 7, 2018.

Jaden Jefferson was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 71 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). A healthy portion of Jefferson's aerial production (90 yards to be exact) went to Brian Prince, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Cathedral didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-31 defeat against Beaumont on the 28th. As for Loyola, they have also already played their next game, a 35-25 victory against Millikan on the 29th.
