Basketball Recap: Tuscumbia Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Tuscumbia won the last time they faced Columbia Independent and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tuscumbia Lions walked away with a 60-49 win over Columbia Independent.

Despite the loss, Columbia Independent had strong showings from Blake Morris, who went 7 of 14 en route to 19 points along with three steals and three blocks, and Deolu Adibiyi, who went 8 for 18 on his way to 17 points and four steals. The match was Morris' eighth in a row with at least ten points.

Tuscumbia's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10. As for Columbia Independent, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6.

Tuscumbia has already played their next game (against Newburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Columbia Independent will host Missouri Military Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
