Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Beats Murray County for Their Fourth Straight Victory

LaFayette came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Murray County Indians by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Ramblers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: LaFayette took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-15.

LaFayette got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anabelle Penland out in front who had ten digs and one assist. Those ten digs gave Penland a new career-high.

LaFayette was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

LaFayette's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Murray County, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

LaFayette didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Oakwood Christian on the 12th. As for Murray County, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Heard County on the 14th.
