Baseball Recap: Serrano Takes a Loss

Serrano extended their losing streak to eight on Wednesday, dropping them down to 6-12. They lost 21-10 to the Oak Hills Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-7 back in March.

As for Oak Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Oak Hills' part, they got a massive performance out of Jacob Webster, who got on base in three of his six plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Webster has become a key player for the Bulldogs: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 6-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Manuel Berumen Jr, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

While Serrano had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
