Basketball Game Preview: Catonsville Comets vs. Park School Bruins

Having just played yesterday, the Catonsville Comets will head out on the road to face off against the Park School Bruins at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Catonsville is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Catonsville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-40 to New Town.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Park School, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-33 victory over Concordia Prep on Friday.

Catonsville better focus on containing Sophie Zirkin and Meredith White as the pair were huge in Park School's win. Zirkin posted 17 points, while White scored 15 points.

Park School's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for Catonsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Everything went Catonsville's way against Park School in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Catonsville made off with a 43-22 victory. Will Catonsville repeat their success, or does Park School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
