Basketball Game Preview: Sweeny Bulldogs vs. Brazosport Exporters

The Sweeny Bulldogs and the Brazosport Exporters will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Sweeny came up short against Bay City and fell 42-33. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Blackcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Brazosport lost to Columbia on the road by a 59-43 margin on Thursday. The Exporters have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sweeny's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Brazosport, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-12.

Things could have been worse for Sweeny, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-43 loss to Brazosport when the teams last played back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Brazosport's Amaya Waddy, who posted 25 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals.
