Baseball Game Preview: Colfax Falcons vs. Wheatland Pirates

For the second straight game, Colfax will face off against Wheatland. The Falcons will be playing at home against the Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Colfax easily dispatched Center on Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Falcons fell just short of Wheatland by a score of 8-6 on Thursday. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Garrett Lewis and Wynston Genest stepped up to the plate in a big way. Lewis scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Genest scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Drew Stowers, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Wheatland's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Colfax, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
