Flag Football Game Preview: Valor Christian Eagles vs. Arvada West Wildcats + How To Watch

Valor Christian hasn't had much luck against Arvada West recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Eagles will square off against the Wildcats at 12:00 p.m.

Valor Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Mountain Vista, who was ranked first at the time (Valor Christian was ranked eighth). The Eagles were beaten by the Golden Eagles 54-6 on Thursday. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Arvada West waltzed into their game on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Rebels 53-0. Considering the Wildcats have won five contests by more than 24 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Arvada West's defense and their four sacks. Leading the way was Alex Antill with three. She is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as she's now posted at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Grace Schillie got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 8-2. As for Valor Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Valor Christian couldn't quite get it done against Arvada West in their previous meeting on September 6th as they fell 21-13. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
