Volleyball Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short

Cherokee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Starr's Mill Panthers. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

Berkley Wood paced Cherokee's offense, picking up eight kills. Wood got some help from Maddie Lathem and her nine assists.

Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Starr's Mill, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Cherokee and Starr's Mill will both be playing River Ridge the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Knights at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
