Basketball Preview: Weatherford Kangaroos vs. North Crowley Panthers
Weatherford is 2-8 against the Panthers since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Weatherford Kangaroos will be playing at home against the North Crowley Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Tuesday, Weatherford came up short against the Blue Raiders and fell 57-48. While losing is never fun, Weatherford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while the Blue Raiders are ranked 50th).
Meanwhile, North Crowley suffered a tough 61-38 defeat at the hands of the Pioneers on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Crowley has scored all season.
Weatherford has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-16 record this season. As for North Crowley, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-10.
