Football Recap: Denver East Takes a Loss

Denver East was the 30-0 winner over Vista PEAK Prep when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Angels took a 38-20 bruising from the Bison on Wednesday. The Angels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vista PEAK Prep found their leader in sophomore Rilee Bergquist, who threw for 157 yards and four touchdowns. Bergquist is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: she's passed for at least three every time she's taken the field this season.

Denver East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Vista PEAK Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Denver East wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 30-0 loss against Northfield on the 6th. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they have also already played their next contest, a 42-6 defeat against Denver South on the 6th.
