Volleyball Recap: Crestview Takes a Loss

Crestview was the 3-2 winner over Kalida when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Crestview ultimately came up short, they really made Kalida work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 26-24, 25-20, 26-28, 15-8.

Haley Mccoy paced Crestview's offense, picking up 20 kills. Mccoy got some help from Emily Lichtle and her 26 assists. Lillie Best controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Crestview's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Kalida, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Crestview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Jefferson on the 30th. As for Kalida, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Leipsic on the 2nd.
