Football Recap: Redlands East Valley Wildcats vs. Beaumont Cougars
After soaring to 43 points the game before, Redlands East Valley was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Beaumont Cougars and fell 43-6. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-0.
Even if they lost, Redlands East Valley's defensive line still kept up the pressure with 3.5 sacks. Jesus Lorenzo refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beaumont to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braedon Miller, who picked up 149 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Miller a new career-high. Jeremiah Duhu was another key signal caller, throwing for 120 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven passes.
Redlands East Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Beaumont, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.
