Basketball Recap: Riverdale Ridge's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Riverdale Ridge had won four straight games and Brihanna Crittendon did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The Riverdale Ridge Ravens simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Prairie View Thunderhawks 96-8 thanks in part to Crittendon, who went 13 of 14 en route to 30 points in addition to four steals and four blocks. Her evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Shay Vigil was another key player, going 7 for 11 on her way to 16 points along with seven assists and seven steals. Those seven steals gave her a new career-high.

Riverdale Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.8 points per game. As for Prairie View, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Riverdale Ridge will face off against Westminster at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Riverdale Ridge's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches. As for Prairie View, they will square off against Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Prairie View is facing Brighton at the right time seeing as Brighton is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
