Abingdon had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They never let the John Battle Trojans get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

Abingdon pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for John Battle, they moved to 9-4 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
