Calhoun County came into Wednesday's game looking for another win against Ridge Spring-Monetta, but Kennedy Ligons wouldn't allow it. The Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans managed a 37-33 win over the Calhoun County Saints on Wednesday thanks in part to Ligons, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine steals. Those nine steals gave her a new career-high.

Calhoun County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cassidy Pough, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Raniya Tyler, who posted nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Ridge Spring-Monetta is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Calhoun County, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-10.

Looking ahead, Ridge Spring-Monetta will square off against Williston-Elko at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Williston-Elko will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Ridge Spring-Monetta surely won't give up without a fight.
