Thomson entered their tilt with Butler on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Butler 56-6. Given Thomson's advantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 174th, while Butler is ranked 415th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Thomson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Dallas HIll, who rushed for 42 yards and a pair of  scores, and also threw for 78 yards and one  TD on only six passes. Thomson's leading receiver  Jaris Sinkfield was  HIll's top target yet again, picking up 65 receiving yards and one  touchdown, while also rushing for 32 yards and one  TD.
 Thomson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Kammeron Hogan and  Aiden Robertson. Hogan got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
 Special teams also played a big role in the game for Thomson, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Sinkfield, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Thomson's record now sits at 7-3. As for Butler,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-8.
 Thomson will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Jackson at 7:30  p.m.  on  the 14th. Butler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
