The home team had come away the winner the last four times Burns and Shelby had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bulldogs blew past the Golden Lions 3-0 on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Golden Lions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-16, 25-8.
Brooklyn Gales paced Burns' offense, picking up seven kills. Gales got some help from Alexis Martin and her 22 assists. Karlye Clay controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Burns' record is now 19-5. As for Shelby, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.
As of now, neither Burns nor the Golden Lions have any future games scheduled.
