Basketball Recap: Lunenburg Central Comes Up Short

Lunenburg Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 61-47 to the Goochland Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-65 back in December of 2024.

Lunenburg Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Goochland, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-8.

Lunenburg Central will face off against Amelia County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lunenburg Central is facing Amelia County at the right time seeing as Amelia County is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Goochland has already played their next contest (against Western Albemarle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
