Alexander had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cedartown Bulldogs. The Cougars were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Bulldogs, so the Cougars were just returning the favor.

While Alexander won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20.

When it comes to explaining why Cedartown lost, don't look at Alexis Warren. Despite the final result, she had seven digs and two aces. Warren has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Alexander's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Cedartown, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Alexander and Cedartown will both be playing Heard County the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Braves at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cougars will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
