Volleyball Recap: Central Regional Comes Up Short

Central Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barnegat Bengals. The Golden Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bengals from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

While Central Regional ultimately came up short, they really made Barnegat work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 27-25.

Central Regional now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Barnegat, the win keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Regional will face off against Toms River East at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Barnegat, they will take on Wall Township at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
