Calera is a perfect 5-0 against Shelby County since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. The timing is sure in Calera's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Shelby County has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Calera is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alabama's top teams: Thompson, who was ranked ninth at the time (Calera was ranked 17th). The Eagles never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Calera, who have now won ten matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Matthew Doerfler and Sam Njoroge scored all three of Calera's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Meanwhile, Shelby County's game on Tuesday was all tied up 2-2 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tarrant.

Calera is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those ten games. As for Shelby County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
