Basketball Recap: Mater Dei Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

Mater Dei extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Maris Zurliene. The Mater Dei Knights took their game on Monday with ease, bagging a 60-32 win over the Freeburg Midgets thanks in part to Zurliene, who went 6 for 9 en route to 15 points in addition to five boards and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Addison Ringwald, who posted two points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

Mater Dei has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points per game. As for Freeburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.
