Basketball Recap: Dillon Sets Scoring Season-High Against Lake View

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dillon). They breezed by the Lake View Wild Gators to the tune of 60-14 on Wednesday. With the Wildcats ahead 37-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Dillon found their leader in freshman Treasure Davis, who went 8 of 11 on her way to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Khwnylahi Mckinnon, who posted 11 points along with six assists and five boards.

Dillon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Dillon is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Lake View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Dillon will venture away from home to square off against Marlboro County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive. As for Lake View, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 35-30 defeat against Dillon Christian on the 16th.
