Softball Recap: Chipley's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Ponce De Leon last Tuesday, Chipley came back down to earth. The Tigers lost 9-3 to the Abbeville Christian Academy Generals on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since March 14, 2024.

Olivia Brown was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzlee Nelson, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Chipley's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5. As for Abbeville Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, Chipley will square off against Malone at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Abbeville Christian Academy, they will take on Holmes County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Generals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
