Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Kingwood Park walked away with it. They blew past the Weiss Wolves 14-2 on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Jaxon Thomas looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Nate Eveler was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two doubles. He also scored a run, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Blake Heckman, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Kingwood Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Kingwood Park's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 29-7-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Weiss, they moved to 22-7-2 with that loss, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.
