It was a good run, but Bay Springs unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Lake Hornets by a score of 39-37. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulldogs came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Hornets are ranked 124th).

Bay Springs' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-5. As for Lake, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

Bay Springs has already played their next match (against Scott Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
