            Baseball Recap: Nativity BVM Green Wave vs. Marian Catholic        
        
		
        
        
            Nativity BVM proved they can win big  last Thursday (they won by nine) and  on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past Marian Catholic  10-8. Ten seems to be a good number for the Green Wave as the  team scooped up a  victory with the same number of  runs in their previous game.

 STEPHEN KARINCH made a splash no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-5 with two  runs and one  stolen base. Nativity BVM is undefeated when  KARINCH posts two or  more  runs, but 2-10 otherwise.
 In other batting news,  RYAN GRABOWSKI and  NICK WAGNER did most of the damage at the plate:  GRABOWSKI  went 4-for-5 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI, while  WAGNER  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  MATEO ARIAUDO, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Nativity BVM  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That's the most  hits they've posted  since  the start of last season.
Nativity BVM's win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 5-10. As for Marian Catholic,  with the  defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-8.
 Nativity BVM has  already played their next  matchup (against Panther Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Marian Catholic, they are taking a road trip to  square off against Schuylkill Haven  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
