Volleyball Recap: Champlain Valley Union Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Champlain Valley Union lost against Mt. Mansfield back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Redhawks fell 3-1 to the Cougars. The Redhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Champlain Valley Union was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Mt. Mansfield work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-19, 22-25, 32-30.

Nora Cullen paced Champlain Valley Union's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cullen got some help from Deirdre Higgins and her 11 assists. Rowan Farmer controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Champlain Valley Union's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Mt. Mansfield, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Champlain Valley Union is set to face off against their familiar foe St. Johnsbury Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mt. Mansfield will take on rival Bellows Free Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
