Volleyball Recap: Covenant Day Has No Trouble Against Cannon

Covenant Day's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cannon Cougars. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 25-14.

Covenant Day found their leader in sophomore Campbell Dunlap, who had five aces and three digs. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Dunlap. Bella Coffren also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Covenant Day's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Cannon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13-1 record this season.

Covenant Day will be playing at home against Charlotte Country Day School at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cannon, they will take on Charlotte Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
