Soccer Recap: Rockbridge County Takes a Loss

Rockbridge County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They fell 4-2 to the East Rockingham Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against East Rockingham this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in April.

Rockbridge County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for East Rockingham, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockbridge County will square off against Turner Ashby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Turner Ashby will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Rockbridge County surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Rockingham, they will face off against Broadway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Rockingham will be up against Broadway's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.46 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
