            Softball Recap: Riverview Sharks vs. Brandon Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Riverview waltzed into their contest  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by  a  17-1 margin over the Brandon Eagles. The Sharks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 Kacey Kalinowski made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Juliet Sederio and  Alivia Garry did most of the damage at the plate:  Sederio  scored a  run while going 2-for-4, while  Garry  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in both of her plate appearances.  Brooklyn Girard was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

 Riverview  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That's the most  hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Riverview's record is now 8-5. As for Brandon,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-10.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverview will venture away from home to  take on East Bay  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.75  runs per game on average), something the Sharks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Brandon,  it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Brandon Eagles  challenge  Armwood Hawks at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
