Baseball Recap: Alma Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Alma's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Freeland Falcons on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Alma saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Seeley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base. Brighton Conn also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Alma's loss dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for Freeland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alma will challenge Ithaca at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Freeland, they will square off against Cass City at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Hawks will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
