Recap: Lennox Academy Panthers vs. Wildwood Wolves
This season hasn't been kind to the Lennox Academy Panthers, who are still winless after their fourth match. They fell 71-59 to Wildwood on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrew Anderson, who scored 20 points. Anderson scored a full 33.9% of Lennox Academy's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Mike Cruz was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Lennox Academy's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Wildwood, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lennox Academy will face off against Ambassador at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ambassador comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Wildwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Geffen Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Geffen Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Wildwood likes a good challenge.
