Orrville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Central Christian Comets. On the bright side, the ten- run performance marked the Red Riders' highest-scoring match to date.

Orrville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Central Christian, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9.

Coming up, Orrville will face off against Canton South at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Christian, they will head out to take on Lake Center Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Comets' pitcher better be ready for this one: the Tiger have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
