Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Madison). They snuck past the Webber Trojans with an 87-82 win on Saturday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Madison's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 470th, while Webber is ranked 210th).

When it comes to explaining why Webber lost, don't look at Nathaniel Marlow. Despite the final result, he posted 49 points. The matchup was Marlow's fifth in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylan Moser, who earned 15 points.

Madison's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Webber, their record now sits at 20-5.

Madison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Webber, they will host Zeigler-Royalton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Webber is facing Zeigler-Royalton at the right time seeing as Zeigler-Royalton is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
