With a playoff win on the line, Weiss rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 51-41 win over the Cedar Creek Eagles. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Cedar Creek's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenji Franklin, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. Franklin has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last 12 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nomar Ruvalcaba, who went 5-for-11 en route to 12 points and five rebounds.

Weiss' win bumped their record up to 17-18. As for Cedar Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 20-15.

Looking ahead, Weiss will challenge Fort Bend Kempner at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Bend Kempner will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Weiss surely won't give up without a fight. Cedar Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
