Monroe Campus waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Columbus Sharks 20-2. Monroe Campus might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Monroe Campus' victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.7 runs over those games. As for Columbus, their loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.

Monroe Campus and Columbus should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. Monroe Campus will square off against Taft at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (127 vs. 527). Meanwhile, Columbus (ranked 50th) will meet Evander Childs (ranked 466th) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
